The essence of the Word are the concepts of love, forgiveness and peace. In every way, shape and form this Word is devoted to be spread.
It is inevitable to notice and acknowledge the challenges he underwent against the Roman occupation, during the 33 years of his earthly life, here in the very land of Palestine. There is no way to deny He challenged the “occupation”, His words were meant for the ears and hearts of those who are less fortunate in the “empire”.
This piece is a replica of a larger size original piece, sculpted in the years 2014-2015 by the artist Tariq Salsa
Entitled “The Revolutionist Prophet”
Two pieces of the current size were completed out of 4 copies that will be finished within the year 2020-2021, in a total of 220 working hours.
It’s worth mentioning that the used olive wood for this piece is originally a branch of an old olive tree that has been uprooted forcibly by Israeli settlers from Palestinian farmers’ lands, under the policy of “wiping out” the Palestinian Canaanite identity of this land that in fact will never disappear.
