But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:29
The miracle of Jesus walking on water and later calming the vicious storm, is usually portrayed by art pieces of an unstable boat on water. My constant question was; where is the fascination, breathtaking image of the Lord? As I never saw but an undefeatable man to best imagine this miracle!
Jesus here proved Himself to be in command! In command of all; as the artist believes how God tenderly loves each and every one of us but fiercely protects us! I never saw him but strong, from my standpoint, I do insist that his virtues of patience, forgiveness, humbleness, love, and wisdom were never meant to reflect but strength.
Those piercing eyes of wisdom went through my veins until I carved them to manifest in the veins of olive wood, creating this original piece of the ‘Strong Jesus’
Nature cooperates with the fierce Jesus, fiercer than any storm, than the most furious storm life might bring us because if he says the word, it’s over! “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” Mark 4:39
