“And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.” Luke 2:15
Carrying the same bloodline, there exists a sequence of lineal descendants of the real Shepherds and the artist himself. Even a DNA test will prove it. The neighboring town of Bethlehem; Beit Sahour, is where he was born and still thriving in. Tariq never believed that things happen by accident. He is almost sure that creating his piece of “Jesus the Shepherd” was smooth that he rarely experienced in this field of sculpting.
Speaking of a smooth creation, the genes of a shepherds’ descendant, using the most-known tree in my home-holy land, resulted in depicting Jesus as the Shepherd.
Indeed he is the shepherd, leading constantly to the star that brings us “good news”. The deep need of good news in my troubled homeland needs a true leader like Him.
